Yoga For Weight Loss, Healthy Energy Flow is a whole body flow. It invites you to refine the use of your breath, or your spirit, as your guide both on the mat and off the mat. This practice helps you create a sustainable practice that you will want to return to again and again by guiding you to cultivate the healthy flow of energy.

Want to feel your best this Spring and Summer? Pay attention to alignment, action, and sensation as you trim, tone, and build lean muscle mass with this practice. Move in a mindful and conscious way to grow stronger and leaner, to become more toned, and to feel good. Remember, when you feel good, you look good too.

Commit to this practice mindfully and you will want to return to the mat again and again. Keep returning to the mat and you will feel and see results.

  1. Adriene, can any of your videos be used for someone recovering from breast cancer surgery (lumpectomy or mastectomy)? No weight can be put on the arms and no extreme arm raising or stretching. If not, would you consider creating a video? I subscribe to your VHX site. Thank you!

    1. HI Catharine,

      I also had a mastectomy and reconstruction a year and a half ago. I found doing restorative yoga and meditation really helped, especially for the first few weeks. All the best to you on your road to recovery!

I want to get my husband, who is a carpenter, in on this beautiful journey. Do you have, or can you make a video for people who do manual labor? It's a lot of bending over, heavy lifting and lots of work on your hands and knees.

  6. Adriene, would you consider doing a video for scoliosis and back pain? I recently found out I have scoliosis along with natural fusions in my back and neck. You're videos are very helpful, and I would be in a lot more pain if it wasn't for doing yoga!

  9. Thank you so much for your mail and videos Adrienne . I have left the practice for about 6 weeks now due to a sprained ankle, i am still unable to stand properly on the sprained foot , is there any way to continue with your videos without too much strain on my ankle?

  12. I have completed Yoga Camp, 30 Days of Yoga, and Revolution 31 Days of Yoga. Since then I have been going through my favorite practices that I saved in my Yoga YouTube Library. I never have done the weekly new videos, at least I don't think so, I don't know why. I saw this newest video of yours and said... Okay, I'm going to do this one.   13. Hi there,I've been into self loving and yoga for awhile now. I do have a question though and hopefully you can help. Do you have any yoga vids or moves you can do to help alleviate or soothe hernias? My husband is limited on lifting weights and other exercises because of hernias and I feel yoga would be good for him. I just don't know the best moves to help him out.

  15. Hello! I have just starting practicing with you on YouTube from my television. I have absolutely loved the workout and how I feel after. I worked out for many years with trainers doing weight training and cardio and I love that although I may be sore the next day, I don't have the pain in my knees, neck and back I used to have after (and often during) my previous workouts. My question is that I am not sure if I am a doing a strenuous enough workout to get the results I would like; do you have any suggestions as to how I can make continue my yoga practice while burning more calories.   29. I could not possibly adequately express how my life has drastically changed in the 26 days I have commited to following mindfully your 30 days of yoga challenge. I never did yoga before and had been completely inactive for many years (besides being Momma to 5). Everything is better and as I close in on the last days I'm not as sweaty as I was before, not feeling like I'm "working hard enough" to shed the weight my body needs to....however I'm afraid to try the weightloss yogas because they are all mostly TWICE as long as the 30 day vids. I'm scared they will be too hard and I will fail. Not sure what to do next...

  34. Just started doing your yoga for beginners videos. My problem is that I am morbidly obese, so sitting on the floor is, at this point, not happening. Currently i sit in a chair and do what I can. Or bend over a coffee table when doing downward dog. Any other modifications I can do? I figure something is better than nothing and will lead to more!

  37. I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart! You have helped me change my life physically and mentally. After losing both my parents 18 months apart I was left feeling empty and was a shell of my former self. I found your videos this past February and have committed to yoga daily. I get up Monday through Friday at 4:30am, before my husband, daughter, and dog are awake to have my "Gail time". It's my 20-40 minutes to myself before the busy day of being a mom and an elementary teacher. You have helped me find myself again! I feel stronger, healthier, and happier. My husband says he feels like I'm back and not as sad anymore. I look forward to getting up and doing my favorite videos from the weight loss series or challenging myself to try new ones.   38. I have always wanted to do yoga but feel I don't have the flexibility for it. I still want to try though. 9 years ago, I had muscle cancer and lost the gluteus maximus (right bottom cheek) on one side which makes sitting a problem. I can sit but when I do, I don't feel like I connect to earth because of the missing part. Does this matter?

    Your yoga for weight loss has inspired me because of the fluid movements and I would very much like to try it but at the same time, I don't want to overstretch.

    Would appreciate your advice.

  49. In John 8 Jesus compares the Spirit to wind. The following is from "The NIV Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible"

    3:8 wind … sound. John is fond of wordplays (v. 3). Both in Hebrew and in Greek, the “sound” of the “wind” can also mean the “voice” of the “Spirit.” In the chapter immediately following Eze 36 (see notes on Jn 3:5,6), God’s Spirit comes like a wind to revive and restore his people (Eze 37:1 – 14).

    The way you speak of our breath as spirit is similar.

  50. 3 years ago I had a complete hysterectomy with ovary removal due to ovarian cancer. The first year I kept waiting to heal and be myself again; the second year I started to grow old, i was in pain and doing the old lady walk down the stairs every morning at 48; the third year I found your 30 day yoga series. My life is better, I can run up and down the stairs, I stretch because it feels good and my hot flashes are a thing of the past. I wish I had found you sooner, but perhaps if I had I would not have been ready. As I approach the begging of my 4th year, I have hope. Thank you.
